Establishment of ICCMC
The International Committee on Concrete Model Code for Asia (ICCMC) was established, creating the first international platform in Asia.
The Beginning of ACF: The 1st Asian Concrete Forum
The 1st Asian Concrete Forum was held in Sapporo, Japan, marking the conceptual beginning of the Asian Concrete Federation (ACF).
The 1st ACF International Conference
The 1st ACF International Conference was successfully held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, signaling the formal gathering of the region’s concrete experts.
ACF Official Operation & Core Objectives
The Asian Concrete Federation (ACF) started its official operation. To advance concrete engineering in Asia, ACF established the following core objectives:
- To promote the understanding and applications of sustainable concrete materials and structures
- To provide the services to the Asian societies
- Development and promotion of guidelines, recommendations and methods for concrete materials, structural design, construction and maintenance
- Dissemination of useful information through publications, conferences, symposia, workshops and seminars
- Initiation and support of international collaborative activities through development of research and technology of concrete materials and structures
- Interaction with members and keeping them aware of the activities of the federation
